Are you a coach or technical assistance specialist and interested in training on the ERS? This new course is geared specifically to support you in your efforts to use the ERS as a tool for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts in early education settings. Participants will learn about scale content as well as strategies for
implementing a CQI plan.

Certified ERSI trainers will guide you through our 4-day CQI training model, which includes a basic overview of the “how” and the “why” of using the ERS (e.g., how to define quality in early childhood settings, how the scales measure quality, and the mechanics of the scales- organization, scoring, important terms, etc), two days of focused classroom observations and detailed debriefing sessions to go over scoring and scale requirements, and a final day of using the information gathered in the focused observations to develop a “Plan of Action” to be used in program improvement efforts. Throughout the training, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with other early childhood professionals and share strategies, solutions, and challenges faced in a
coaching/technical assistance role.
