We are now offering the Short Course on the FCCERS-R to be held on an as yet undetermined date. The three day Short Course provides training in use of the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS-R). Authors of this widely used instrument serve as faculty for the training. Participants will be taught to use the scale and given guided practice conducting assessments in child care settings. Comprehensive debriefing will follow each practice assessment, led by experienced group leaders, with the authors on hand to answer questions. There is also an option to stay for two additional observation days to become reliable in the FCCERS-R scale, as well as an option to attend for reliability only.
